Death on the Strand by Henry Simpson got out to a sluggish start, but gathered up steam as additional characters were introduced. It grabbed me in right away with lots of twists and turns, action, adventure, and a little romance. I’m not sure if I like the character of Joe Costa. I have conflicting thoughts about him. He was skilled at what he did, although he could be unpleasant at times. I’m not sure if he’s coming or going, but the narrative was interesting and kept me interested.
