The morning temperature was already 94° at 6 a.m., and I started my day with a blunder. I did the laundry early to avoid the heat. Our washer and dryer are in the garage. By then, it was already 8 a.m., and the temperature had risen even higher, making the laundry process even more uncomfortable.

I guess it’s just one of those inevitable inconveniences of summer—there’s never a perfect time to tackle household chores, especially when it involves dealing with the Las Vegas heat.
