Lesley, a single mother of five-year-old Haley, faces eviction from her apartment after her boyfriend Stanley leaves and marries someone else. She makes amends with her mother and returns home. Lesley’s life is finally coming together as she rebuilds it and finds stability for herself and her daughter. However, her mother’s marriage to a younger man complicates Lesley’s relationship with her. Lesley and her daughter move out when her mom chooses her husband over them.
